Join Katherine and Ryan for an evening of communal rest and relaxation as we merge the ancient practices of yoga nidra and sound meditation. Yoga Nidra (yogic awakening) is a deeply restorative, systematic, and empowering practice that has been clinically proven to reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and insomnia. With guidance and over time, the practitioner learns the art of surrender as the physical body and the thinking-mind fall asleep, and part of the mind remains aware and awake. The deeper layers of consciousness that can be touched while in the state of yoga nidra foster a felt sense of equanimity and well-being, while the practitioner oscillates through the healing brainwave states of alpha, theta and delta. Similar effects can be said for sound meditation.
Himalayan singing bowls and gongs will be played throughout to support and anchor you in your meditative experience as the sounds wash over and through the body.
This offering is an invitation for you to experience who you are from behind closed eyes and through the portal of your own body.
