Pop-up Class: Yin Yoga with Yoga Nidra (Gilroy, CA USA)

class style: Yin Yoga with an extended Savasana in the form of Yoga Nidra. **this 2nd class will have fewer poses than the 1st to allow the option for longer hold times.

Yin yoga: a series of long-held, seated poses. this style of yoga is slow-paced and targets our connective tissues and meridians. through physical stillness, we allow the body the time it needs to release tension and open up. this practice can be thought of like a series of mini meditations. we’ll use blocks to support our bodies as needed so we can remain in each pose for as long as our body allows. if you have any injuries, please let me know before the start of class!

we’ll use yin yoga to slowly and softly open up the body, making it more receptive for Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra: a guided journey, done while lying down on your back with your eyes closed or covered. you’ll simply listen along to the sound of my voice and allow your physical body to drift off...

I’ll share more about both before the class :)

Exchange: this is a donation-based offering. if you wish you pay something, there will be a jar at the entrance to collect donations

where: 95 4th Street, Gilroy CA

when: start time TBD. please give yourself 10-15 minutes to park, arrive and settle :)

what to bring: a yoga mat or some kind of thicker mat for support

what to wear: comfortable, loose clothing. layers are encouraged so that you remain warm throughout the practice—warm socks and a sheet or blanket to cover yourself for Savasana are also nice!

cork blocks and eye pillows will be provided. please let me know if you need a mat, and we will organize one for you!
